A start will be made on the construction of a copy of a 1805 JOHN BROADWOOD and SONS fortepiano.
Numerous fortepianos of that era and later, have been in our shop for restoration.
Sometimes we basically built a new piano in an old case. Even projects which were judged to be beyond hope by other restorers, were brought back to life again in our shop, and were later used for performance and recording.
It is the experience of many years which gives us the confidence to undertake this new venture.
As with our restorations, we go to the utmost length to assure that the finished product will stand up to the highest expectations.
It is our intention to build instruments of the British and Viennese schools, up to circa 1835.
Of course, we will discuss orders according to your special wishes.
