Marinus van Prattenburg’s, we rather give quotations than estimates. More than
thirty years of experience have enabled us to see what we are talking about when
it comes to judge what it takes in terms of cost to restore your instrument.
A
quotation guarantees that you don’t pay more.
Even if there is an unexpected set back in the project, the quote stands.
In other words: There are no financial surprises.
All
price quotes are given free of charge.
Travel
costs involved to view an instrument in order to give a quotation are carried by
the customer and subject to the distance to be traveled and in what way.
If
a plane fare is involved, the customer is requested to provide the plane
roundtrip ticket. Economy class from Abbotsford or from
Vancouver is very much acceptable.
If
it is possible to drive by car in one day vice versa, only the cost of gasoline
(10ltr. @ 100km or in the USA 23mi per gallon) will be charged. Fees for toll
and ferry, vice versa, will be charged in addition.
So
far, all of our customers have been very content with this arrangement.
In
some cases different arrangements can be made, depending on the circumstances.

After
a written and signed quotation has been accepted and a written conditional
guarantee has been issued, a deposit of 25% plus the applicable travel cost
is due.
The
balance plus applicable tax and transport cost are payable in full upon
completion or upon our delivery.
In
case where an instrument is being shipped by carrier, shipment will take place
without delay when payment in full has been received.
U.S.A.
customers don’t pay Canadian taxes but are subject to border crossing fees.
Under
the NAFTA Agreement, there is no duty to pay. There only will be a charge for
border crossing brokerage fee. The amount depends on the amount on the invoice.
